How does it work?
Our system reviews comments on deal and voucher threads and looks for signs of helpfulness, things like personal experience with a product, useful pricing information, alternatives, or answers to other users' questions.
If a comment scores highly but hasn't yet received enough Helpful reactions from the community, it may be tagged as Noteworthy.
A few things to know:
Only comments on deal and voucher threads can be Noteworthy
Up to 3 comments per thread can carry the tag at any time
Community-voted Helpful comments always come first - Noteworthy comments appear below them when sorting by "Most Helpful" or "Top Comments"
Noteworthy tags appear on both top-level comments and replies
What does the 💡 tag mean?
When you see the 💡 Noteworthy label above a comment, it means our system thinks the comment contains useful information that's worth reading. You can tap or click the tag to learn more about why it was highlighted.
Can I earn Club points from a Noteworthy comment?
Not directly. Being tagged as Noteworthy does not earn you Club points on its own.
However, Noteworthy gives your comment extra visibility, which means more people are likely to see it and react. If your comment goes on to receive 3 or more Helpful reactions from the community, it becomes a Helpful comment - and that's when you earn 10 Club points, just like any other Helpful comment.
So while Noteworthy doesn't give you points, it can definitely help you get there! For more information about how Club points work, check out our Points and Rewards Programme page.
What if I disagree with a Noteworthy tag?
We know the system won't always get it right, and your feedback helps us improve.
If you see a Noteworthy comment that you don't think is helpful:
Tap or click the 💡 Noteworthy tag
In the popup, tap "Report this comment unhelpful"
Optionally, tell us why - your feedback is valuable (but not required)
Tap "Submit Feedback"
That's it! The tag will disappear from your view straight away. If enough people report the same comment, the Noteworthy tag will be removed for everyone.
Please note: You'll need to be logged in to submit a report. Reporting a Noteworthy comment is not the same as reporting a comment to our moderation team - it simply tells us that you don't think the comment deserved the Noteworthy tag.
I was told my comment is Noteworthy - what does that mean?
Great news! 🎉 It means our system identified your comment as genuinely helpful to other deal-hunters. Your comment has been highlighted with a 💡 tag so more people can discover it.
The first time one of your comments is tagged as Noteworthy, you'll receive a personal message explaining what it means. After that, you'll see a notification in your Notifications tab each time it happens.
Keep in mind:
Noteworthy tags don't earn you Club points directly, but they boost your comment's visibility
If the community agrees with us and gives your comment 3 or more Helpful reactions, you'll earn 10 Club points - and a well-deserved Helpful badge ✓
If you edit your comment, the Noteworthy tag may be temporarily removed while the system re-evaluates it
Why did a Noteworthy tag disappear?
There are a few reasons a Noteworthy tag might be removed:
The community voted it Helpful - the comment received 3+ Helpful reactions, so it graduated to a full Helpful comment (green ✓). This is the best outcome!
A better-rated comment took its place - only a limited number of comments can be Noteworthy at any one time. If a newer or higher-scoring comment comes along, it may replace an existing Noteworthy comment.
Other users reported it - enough people told us the comment wasn't actually helpful
The comment was edited - the system is re-evaluating the updated content. If it still qualifies, the tag will come back
The thread got older - Noteworthy tags are only shown on recent threads
The comment was removed - if a comment is deleted or moderated, the Noteworthy tag goes with it
Does Noteworthy affect how comments are sorted?
It depends on which sort option you're using:
Newest First or Oldest First - Noteworthy comments stay in their normal position. You'll just see the 💡 tag above them.
Most Helpful First or Top Comments First - Noteworthy comments are shown near the top, but always below comments that the community has already voted as Helpful.
If you're using topic filters, Noteworthy comments follow the same rules - they'll only appear if they match your active filter.
