There are several reasons and situations where deals can be reposted. However, we may sometimes have to merge these deals.
Reasons where we would allow a deal repost
Same item and retailer but price has dropped by 5% or greater
2 months have passed since a deal was posted
Deal still market leading or on deal but has risen in price
Item was previously only an in store deal but is now online or vice versa
Same deal has been expired for 7 days or more
New discount codes & promotions for a deal (even if this is the same price, item and retailer)
Significant change to deal i.e. Deal now comes with a Currys £50 gift card
Reasons where we would not allow a repost and we would merge
Same item and retailer and the price has dropped within 5%
Same deal (Item, retailer & price) expired within the last 7 days
Local deals such as reduced Christmas stock in supermarkets, if this is the same price, item and retailer
Main deal price is the same as existing deal but Subscribe & Save now reduces price with or without a voucher
Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) seller item which has been expired within the previous 7 days and now is back at the same price and conditions but with a different code and / or voucher.
A few things to note
We only merge and consider if a deal is a duplicate based on the deal titles and not items that may be mentioned in deal descriptions as this would become complicated.
If a user uploads a local deal, we try to find out if this is a national deal but these may be occasionally missed and if this is the case or a deal now becomes a national deal, we would allow a new deal post.
We do not consider cashback rates such as Topcashback & Quidco to be a significant change.
Subscribe & Save prices can vary with the use of vouchers and selected accounts, we consider this is additional information and would not allow a repost based on these. But you are welcome to add this as a comment on the deal.
We appreciate users contribution so for duplicate in store local deals, we will typically add your images and content as a comment to the existing deal.
There are a small number of deals that may fall out of these rules, where this is the case we will review these separately and usually provide reasoning behind our decision.
Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) sellers regularly update voucher codes or promotions linked to a deal. While these updates might look like new deals, the final price and terms often stay the same. To reduce repetition and keep the focus on genuinely new offers, we merge posts which have been expired within the previous 7 days if the price and conditions of the deal remain the same.
There may be occasions when a deal has been merged in error, you can report this deal using the report function or send the community support team a message for review.
