While hotukdeals doesn't sell anything directly, sometimes you might run into problems with a deal you've found on our website.

  • The first thing to do is to check the comments within the deal thread - are other users reporting the same issue?
  • You should post in the thread about your experience so far and ask other users for their feedback.
  • If you're unable to get a resolution from the merchant, it's worth exploring the chargeback option through your bank, credit card or through Paypal.

Editor deals:
You can identify deals posted by hotukdeals staff by looking out for the "verified" check beside their username. (See related articles at the bottom of this page for help identifying staff)

In instances where you have a problem with a deal purchased via an editor's thread, the editor might be able to request support from the merchant directly.

You need to be registered in order to do both of the following actions

Contacting the editor via commenting on the problematic deal

  1. Leave a comment within the relevant thread
  2. Tag the editor with your request by using "@username" in the comment box and writing a short summary of the issue. Don't include any personal information.

Contacting an editor via PM

  1. You could alternatively do this by PMing the editor directly
  2. To PM them, click their avatar and use the envelope icon to send them a message.

Note; the editor isn't responsible for ensuring a resolution, but they'll be happy to help with mediation.

The moderators also monitor issues with merchants and our platform may ban any brand or merchant which repeatedly fails to deliver an adequate level of service.
