At hotukdeals, we strive to provide a browsing experience that suits all our users. To help you control the visibility of adult or suggestive content, we've introduced a new setting in your profile preferences.
What Does the "Hide Adult Deals and Vouchers" Setting Do?
This setting allows you to filter out deals and vouchers that contain adult or suggestive content. When enabled:
Adult deals and vouchers are excluded from all listings, including personalised recommendations and widgets.
Images associated with adult content are blurred across the platform.
You can still access these deals directly through their category listings or by using the search function.
When disabled, adult content will appear normally in all listings, and images will be displayed without blurring.
How to Enable or Disable the Adult Content Filter
1. Log in to your hotukdeals account.
2. Click on your profile icon and select Settings.
3. Navigate to the Preferences tab.
4. Find the option labelled 'Hide adult deals and vouchers'.
5. Check or uncheck the box to enable or disable the filter according to your preference.
6. Your settings will be saved automatically.
Who Does This Affect?
New Users: By default, the adult content filter is disabled, allowing full visibility of all deals.
Existing Users: If you previously had the 'Hide NSFW deal images' filter enabled, this new setting will be enabled by default to maintain your preferences.
Additional Information
Guest users (not logged in) will have adult content filtered out by default.
The filter applies to all areas of the site, including search results, deal listings, and widgets.
You can change this setting at any time through your profile preferences.
